This memoir is an interesting illustrative book that gives you a glimpse into the lives of the overseas Chinese that had settled in Malaysia in the olden days.

It depicts the culture and heritage of a local family that grew up in Penang, Malaysia. A lot of these heritage are no longer there today and has long been forgotten by some. There are stories about the places, things and foods that used to be around and is fast becoming a vanishing trade.

Children today no longer have such opportunities to experience such life and we wanted to have a fun way to share what life used to be as compared to modern times. All the proceeds from the sale of this book will go into Ah Chiew's retirement fund and to further support the production of more books like this that shares true life experiences and to continue our heritage.
